3) Fleabag

Genre: Comedy

5 Binge-Worthy Tv Shows To Watch This Quarantine

Another Emmy and Golden Globe-winning TV series is one you should definitely not miss! Phoebe Walter Bridge originally wrote this as a one women play and later developed it into a screenplay. She plays the protagonist “Fleabag” (the name is never explained) in the series. This is just two seasons and it’s about Fleabag coping with her life in London whilst coming in terms with a recent tragedy. It might sound pretty basic but unlike every other show, it breaks the fourth wall and the protagonist directly addresses the audience. This exchange of dialogue makes the audience feel like you are a part of the show. It also normalizes female sex drive, sex talk, and is it okay to ‘not have your sh*t together.’ You will find yourself relating to Fleabag in so many ways and fall in love with the hot priest (Hint: Season 2). 4) After Life

Genre: Dark Comedy

5 Binge-Worthy Tv Shows To Watch This Quarantine

This TV series will make you laugh, cry, angry, have an epiphany, and feel emotions you never thought you had. It narrates the story of Tony whose life turns upside down when he loses his wife to breast cancer and how he copes with it. It sounds depressing and it sort of is but the good kind (You know what I mean). It is a very honest and real depiction of Tony’s pain and his journey to acceptance of his life without the love of his life. It is produced and written by BAFTA and Emmy winner, Ricky Gervais who also plays ‘Tony.’ There are so many takeaways from this TV series. If you want an emotional awakening and enjoy some o.g. British humor, watch this show, you will not be disappointed!

5) Schitt’s Creek

5 Binge-Worthy Tv Shows To Watch This Quarantine

Emmy Nominated tv series will have you on the floor laughing! If you like ‘The Office’ or ‘Parks and Recreation’, you will love this show. It is about how a wealthy American family would react if they completely went bankrupt. The Rose family loses everything they own and the only thing the government left them is a town called “Schitt’s Creek” which Johnny Rose bought as a gag gift for his son’s birthday. The series humorously narrates how this rich family adjusts from living in a mansion to a cheap motel. Eugene and Dan Levy who are the writers of this show and the real-life father-son duo also play the father-son duo on the show (Jonny Rose and David Rose). The character development in this series is one of the best things about this show and you will fall in love with every single character immensely. The sixth and the final season was just released on Netflix.
